6. NEW BUSINESS
<br />a. The Commission approved the execution of 8 option agreements
<br />in the LaSalle Park Project, R -57, upon the motion by Mr. Chenney,
<br />seconded by Rev. Kirk. The options to be signed are for the
<br />following parcels: 8 -2, 9 -13, 17 -2, 22 -25, 39 -12, 39 -13, 42 -21A,
<br />and 46 -6. The total option agreements now signed is 122, of which
<br />96 parcel have been closed as of March 10, 1967.
<br />b. In connection with the final closing of the Sample Street
<br />Project, Indiana R -7, the Commission approved Resolution 168 authoriz-
<br />ing preparation and execution of all documents in conjunction with'the
<br />close out upon the motion by Mr. Kompar, seconded by Mr: Chenney.'
<br />April 14, 1967 is the estimated closing date for the Sample Street
<br />Project, -7.
<br />c. Ir accordance with the'South Bend Redevelopment Department
<br />Rent Policy for LaSalle Park, R -57, dated August 29, 1966, the .
<br />Commissior approved the motion by Rev. Kirk, seconded by Mr. Kompar,
<br />that rent adjustments be made as recommended by the staff for the
<br />following parcel numbers: 8 -7, 9 -16, 46 -1, 13 -9, 43 -18, 1Z�-16,
<br />22 -9, 22 -13, 40 -10, and 10 -16.
<br />d. The Steering Committee for the preparation of the Model
<br />Cities Application has asked that the President of the Redevelopment
<br />Department be authorized to sign a letter of support to be submitted
<br />along with authorized support of other agencies involved in the
<br />program. The letter is to be predicated upon the thought that
<br />South Bend will be selected as one of the 60 applicants across the
<br />country. The Redevelopment staff has participated in the preparation
<br />of this application, which if accepted, will require Common Council
<br />approval. The Commission approved the motion by Rev. Kirk, seconded
<br />by Mr. Che ney, that the President sign the letter of intent to
<br />support the Model Cities Program.

<br />a. Annual Report. The Annual Report for 1966 for the South ANNUAL REPORT
<br />Bend Department-of Redevelopment has been completed, and will be
<br />distributed in the mail and by hand delivery the first of next
<br />week. The Annual Report includes .a page dedicated to Messrs. Louis
<br />and Koczan, who resigned from the Redevelopment Commission in
<br />December, 966.
<br />b. Wo kable Program for Community Improvement. Mr. Bell -inger WORKABLE PRO -
<br />felt that 0% of the Workable Program for 1967 had been completed, GRAM PROGRESS
<br />and could a ready for submission to Chicago by the early part of
<br />April.
<br />c. Relocation Progress Report, LaSalle Park, R -57. The total RELOCATION
<br />workload t ate is 76 families and 7 individuals. Thirty families PROGRESS
<br />and 3 individuals have been relocated, and 39 families and 4 indi-
<br />viduals are yet to be relocated. The staff is obligated to find
