October 22, 2019 <br />TO: Board of Public Works, City of South Bend, Indiana <br />RE: Northern Indiana Construction Company Evidence of Participation in Apprenticeship and <br />Training Programs <br />At this time, Northern Indiana Construction Company does not have any new employees <br />available to participate in any apprenticeship and/or training programs. Northern Indiana <br />Construction is currently a member of the Associated Builder & Contractors of Indiana / <br />Kentucky. Associated Builder & Contractors of Indiana / Kentucky provides formal <br />apprenticeship and craft training programs that are registered with the United States Department <br />of Labor Office of Apprenticeship. The previously stated program, meets all federal and state <br />requirements for formal apprenticeship and prevailing wage work including employer sponsored <br />classroom instruction, and on the job training. The classroom instructions are available in Elkhart <br />Indiana and follow the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) <br />curriculum, "Wheels of Learning." <br />Northern Indiana Construction Company has trained all its current crane operators. Our crane <br />operators have successfully passed all the required exams, and are certified by the National <br />Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). <br />Ver in ly, <br />d <br />David J.
