b., T e Redevelopment Commission approved the execution of 5 <br />additional option-agreements for LaSalle Park, upon the motion by <br />Rev. Kirk, seconded by Mr. Kompar. This approval is for 4 improved <br />parcels ane 1 vacant parcel and are identified as Parcels 8 -6 for OPTION AGREE - <br />$3,935, 13-9 for $4,500, 27 -4 for $2,700, 37 -13 for $5,840 and 39 -11 MENTS LASALLE <br />for $505. There are now a total of 108 options signed by owners and PARK, R -57 <br />76 are now owned by the Redevelopment Department. A total of $267,440 <br />has now be n spent for the 76 parcels that are closed, which is about <br />1/3 of the Redevelopment Department monies set aside for acquisition <br />of properties in LaSalle Park. <br />c. 1he Indiana Urban Renewal Association is holding its bi- monthly <br />meeting in Indianapolis on February 10th with the Executive Committee <br />meeting,on the evening of February 9, 1967. The Commission authorized <br />Mr. Barbe o attend the 9th and 10th, and 2 other persons to attend on IURA MEETING <br />February.l th only, upon the motion by Mr. Kompar, seconded by Rev. Kirk. FEBRUARY 10 <br />d. The staff received approval from the Commission, upon the <br />motion:,by Mr. Kompar, seconded by Rev. Kirk to make the following INVESTMENT <br />investments: (1) From the Urban Redevelopment District Capital OF FUNDS <br />Fund, $300,000 is invested for a period of 1 year, at an interest <br />rate of 4.50% and (2) from the Project Expenditures Account Fund, R -57, <br />$250,000 w ll be invested for a period 66rthree months. <br />6. <br />a. or's Advisory Committee - The Mayor's Advisory Committee MAYOR "'S <br />could not beet last night, February 1, 1967 because of the bad weather ADVISORY <br />forecast. A meeting will be held the evening of February 7, 1967 in COMMITTEE <br />the office of the Redevelopment Department. <br />b. Loan and Grant Application, Industrial Expansion, R -56. <br />The Chicago Office will send representatives to this office to go over LOAN AND <br />in detail our Loan and Grant Application for the Industrial Expansion GRANT R-56 <br />Project, R-56, on February 7, 1967. <br />c. Greater South Bend Housing Corporation. Tonight at 7:00 P.M., <br />the Greater South Bend Housing Corporation will meet at Zion Church. NON- PROFIT <br />This newly formed group has great interest in becoming the.non- profit HOUSING GROUP <br />organization to build housing in the LaSalle Park Project. <br />d. ha in Street Disposition R -29. The Commission is happy to CHAPIN STREET <br />announce t at a check has just been received today from the Housing DISPOSITION <br />Authority Jor the purchase of Parcel No. 1 in.the Chapin Street Project,R -29 <br />R -29, in the amount of $81,667. <br />At this point in the meeting, opportunities were given by the President <br />for questions. Questions were asked about the diagnostic survey, the <br />Commission's feelings relative to the new post office building, and the <br />problem of relocation of large families.
