This person admitted that he did not know
enough abo t the urban renewal program to make suggestions.
Mr. Chong expects to have a follow up meeting within a couple weeks
or so. Mr. Drake: suggested that the Redevelopment staff explain
publicly at the next:meeting. that no one has been offered more
money for their property -than the original offer. Mr. Drake has
heard this stated and the rumor should be stopped if it is not true.
The idea might have originated over a misunderstanding when the
Redevelopment Staff offered to pay the abstract- costs, which is
permissible, but the price offer has never been increased on any
property from the original offer.
The next special meeting of -the Redevelopment Commission will be
at 3:00 p. m., October 20, 1966, in.the office of the Redevelopment
Department.
7.
