O'Sullivan, Member REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 8, 2019 The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:34 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, by Board President Gary A. Gilot, with Board Members Elizabeth Maradik, Genevieve Miller, and Laura O'Sullivan present. Board Member Therese Dorau joined the meeting at 9:39 a.m. Also present was Board Attorney Clara McDaniels. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Miller and carried, the minutes of the Agenda Review Session, Regular Meeting and Claims Meeting of the Board held on September 19, 24, and October 1, 2019, were approved. OPENING OF BIDS — FIRE STATIONS 3 AND 6 RENOVATIONS — PROJECT NO. 118-047 (FIRE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS) This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referenced project. The Clerk tendered proof of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune, which was found to be sufficient. The following bid was opened and publicly read: GIBSON-LEWIS, LLC 1001 W. 11 t' Street Mishawaka, IN 46544 Bid was signed by: Robert Lingenfelter Non -Collusion, Non -Discrimination Affidavit Form was completed Five percent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted :I Base Bid Total $1,120,000 Alternate #1 Total $7,200 Alternate #2 Total $6,000 Alternate #3 Total $19,500 Alternate #4 Total $20,100 Alternate #5 Total $7,400 Alternate #6 Total $65,000 Alternate #7 Total $5,600 Alternate #8 Total $13,700 Base Bid plus Alternates Total $1,264,500 Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Miller and carried, the above bid was referred to Engineering and the Fire Department for review and recommendation.
