OLD <br />Federal approval of the Loan and Grant Application for the La- LOAN AND GRANT <br />Salle Park Project, R -57, is expected momentarily, as the dead - APPROVAL,LASALLE <br />line is March 4, 1966. Mr. Wiggins graciously commended the PARK, R -57 <br />staff for all efforts directed toward the Loan and Grant Contract. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. The <br />Redevelopment Commission deferred action on the <br />BUDGET, 1967 <br />budget for <br />1967 until the President and Staff can get together <br />to finalize <br />the various budget items. A 3% decrease in the <br />1967 budget <br />from the 1966 budget, suggested by the Mayor, will <br />be explored. <br />b. Mr. <br />Peter F. Gillis, S.R.A., has submitted a proposal <br />PETER F. GILLIS <br />for second <br />acquisition appraisal for the LaSalle Park Project, <br />ACQUISITION AP- <br />R-57. The Commission <br />unanimously approved the acquisition <br />PRAISAL CONTRACT <br />appraisal contract <br />with Mr. Gillis, at $35 per improved resi- <br />(SECOND) FOR LA- <br />dential parcel, <br />$20 per vacant parcel, $80 per commercial <br />SALLE PARK,R -57 <br />parcel, to <br />aling.approximately $7,500, upon the motion of Mr. <br />Louis, seceded <br />by Mr. Kompar, upon the motion of Mr. Louis, <br />seconded by <br />Mr. Kompar, on the condition of the approval of the <br />Loan and Grant <br />Contract. The contract amount is about $800 less <br />than the first <br />acquisition appraisal. <br />c. The Redevelopment <br />Commission, the Staff, City Council <br />INTERVIEW PLANNING <br />members, ani <br />Downtown Council, recently interviewed various <br />CONSULTANTS FOR <br />planning co <br />sultants who would be capable of planning the <br />CENTRAL CORE, R -66 <br />Central Cor <br />Project, R -66. Upon the federal approval of the <br />Survey and <br />lanning Application, the Commission will be able to <br />award a con <br />ract for this planning. Approval is expected soon, <br />but has probably <br />been delayed because of the more urgent La- <br />Salle Park <br />Loan and Grant Contract approval. <br />7. PROGRESS <br />REPORTS <br />a. Subcommittee <br />on Minority Group Housing Problems. The <br />SUBCOMMITTEE ON <br />Subcommittee <br />on Minority Group Housing Problems of the Mayor's <br />MINORITY HOUSING <br />Citizens Advisory <br />Committee met the evening of February 28, <br />PROBLEMS <br />1966 in the <br />office of Action, Inc. <br />b. Rehabilitation and Relocation LaSalle Park R -57. The BROCHURES FOR <br />distribution of brochures on rehabilitation and relocation was LASALLE PARK, R -57 <br />effected the week of February 28, 1966. The families that seek <br />early acquisition and the ones that are anxious to rehabilitate <br />their homes will receive priority. <br />c.
