All members present. <br />In the matter of the deferred hearing on Assess .ent roll and final estimate for Pipe <br />Sewer on St. Louis Street from Madison Street to Cedar Street, under Improvement <br />Resolution No. 207. In the City of South Bend, Indiana, The Board, therefore find <br />that the proper y assessed in said roll filed January 28th., 1913 is benefited in the <br />amount of assessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board further find that the <br />assessment roll filed January 29th. 1913 and the final estimate allowed January 28th. , <br />1913 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />✓ In the matter of the petition for a permit for cutting the pavement at 1011 E. <br />Madison Street which the Northern Indiana Gas & Electric Company petition through -the <br />Rngineer for the privilege, the same was presented to the Board of Public Works by <br />the City Engineer and being advised that the said Northern Indiana Gas & Electric <br />Company had been legally notified to make necessary connections in advance of Brick <br />Pavement and whereas they had neglected to do so, the Board refused to grant the peti— <br />tion on the ground that they can connect through alley and unpaved streets. <br />✓ In the matter of the hearing on Trunk Sewer on Michigan Street from La Salle Avenue <br />to rdonroe Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 216. The Board deferred all action <br />on the same until April 29th.. 1913 at 10:00 A.M. <br />Bond for excavation for One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars signed by William L. Turnoc <br />4.�r. as prinicipal and the United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company of Baltimore ,Md. <br />was approved by the Board. <br />Bond for excavation for One Thousand ($11,000.00) Dollars signed by Indiana and Michigan <br />Electric Company as prinicipal and F.A. Bryan, Fred L. Dennis and Charles B. END OF GARFIELD COURT. <br />TO THE HONORABLE COUNCIL <br />Gentlemen The Board of Public Works herewith presents its report fort he <br />following sewer, Gas and Water Connections. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS., <br />OTTO C. BASTIAN <br />President. <br />RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS. <br />On motion duly made and seconded, the following preamble and resolutions were <br />`unanimously adopted: <br />WHEREAS. This Board did on the 19th. day of June 1912 deem it expedient and of <br />Public utility to permanently improve GARFIELD COURT between WASHINGTON AVE . AND <br />BST. ALLEY SOUTH, by paving the roadway of the same, and did on said date pass and <br />adopt a resolution authorizing said permanent improvement, and <br />WHEREAS. The City Engineer has prepared and filed with this Board a report <br />showing the number and location, as well as the material to be used and the manner of <br />laying the same, of the service pipes, mains, conduits, laterals and connections which <br />are, or will be necessary to accommodate the abutting property owners with gas, water <br />heat, steam or any other product for which any person, firm or corporation has been <br />gr ctdd a franchise f supplying the citizens of the City of South Bend., Indiana, <br />Th�c I report is as follows.- <br />
