Thereupon the Board proceeded to award tLhe damages sustained and to assess the benefits accruing to each piece of property upon said list. It was thereupon, upon motion duly made and seconded and unanimously adopted, resolved that said list, together with the amounts of benefits and damages and net benefits and net damages therein set forth as to the several parcels of, land be adopted and ordered spread upon this record by reference, and that the rasp#ctive, amount of benefits contained in said list be and are hereby assessed against the several tracts of land as speci fi cdlly set forth in said list, and that the respective amounts of damages contained in the said list be and are . hereby awarded to ' the several tracts pf lend as specifically set forth in said libt, End that the net. benefits or net damages, as the case may be as to the recpee tive tracts of land, contained in said. list are hereby awarded or assessed, as the case may be as to the said several tracts of land. The Board hereby further sets off the, benefits and damages each against the other where Both.; benefits and damages are assessed against the same piece of property, tract of land or interest, and hereby fixes said respective net benefits as the amount that shall be l paid by the re sp a et i ve owners as b ene fits , , ,end further hereby fi xe s . t he respective net dam- ages as to the several tracts as the amount that shall be paid to the owners of the respec- tive tracts as damages. Thereupon, upon motion duly made and seconded and unanimously adopted, the 13th., day of December 1912 was fixed as the day on which this -Board will receive or hear remon- st mnces from persons with regard to the amount of their respective awards or assessments,, and the clerk of this Board was instructed to prepare and cause to be duly and legally given, notices to the owners of each parcel of property, showing the amount of the assessment or award, with a description.of the property affected, and the date of said hearing. Beginning at the east line of Vernon Street; as now platted and laid out; and the north line of the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway Co., right of way; thence south in line with t e east line of said Vernon Street 106.8feet to the south line of the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Ry.
