South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting -February 29, 2008 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />A. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(3) Commission approval requested for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (Survey and <br />demolition specifications, 332 W. <br />Jefferson) <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that the scope of services <br />includes a site survey and preparation of <br />demolition specifications for the property at <br />332 W. Jefferson Blvd. Wightman Petrie has <br />submitted a proposal in the amount of <br />$8,200. Staff recommends accepting the <br />proposal. <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that staff has been <br />working with the property owner to clear up <br />some deed issues. The owner intends to <br />donate the property to the city. <br />Mr. Peczkowski asked what building this <br />was. Mr. Schalliol responded that it is the <br />boarded up building just west of WSBT. The <br />building extends property line to property <br />line. <br />Mr. Peczkowski asked if acquisition and <br />demolition will affect WNIT's use of the <br />WSBT property. Mr. Schalliol responded <br />that we expect WNIT will either use the <br />parking lots or more of the site. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area and accepted the <br />proposal from Wightman Petrie for the scope <br />of services and fee proposed.
