housing. T e study will be conducted by the Social Science Training <br />and Researci Laboratory at Notre Dame in collaboration with the <br />Public Hous ng Authority and the Redevelopment Commission. The total <br />cost of thi study is $8,840, part of which will be assumed by the <br />University. Compensation by the Redevelopment Commission is not to <br />exceed $6,225, and is to be completed in 10 weeks. The motion was <br />made by Mr. Kompar, seconded by Mr. Chenney. <br />i. Resolution 182 received approval from the Commission upon <br />the motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr. Kompar, and relates to <br />5 propertie in the LaSalle Park Project, R -57, to be acquired <br />through pos ible condemnation. This resolution authorizes the <br />staff to se id the final 10 day notice for signing the option or <br />condemnatioi activities will proceed. The properties involved are <br />identified is follows: 42 -19, 42 -20, 43 -3, 13 -15 and 37 -14. The <br />staff repor ed to date only 3 properties have actually gone to <br />court, and hat those cases that end up in court still are subject <br />to the same relocation and assistance as all urban renewal residents. <br />J. The staff received Commission authorization to readvertise <br />for bids in connection with the Chapin Street Site Improvements, <br />R -29, upon the motion by Mr. Kompar, seconded by Mr. Chenney. The <br />dates for the readvertising were set for June 23 and June 30, 1967. <br />6. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />a. LaSalle Park Pro ect R -57. The demolition work in the <br />project area is proceeding very well. The staff inspector is in the <br />field continuously to make sure the contract items are enforced. Th4 <br />City Water Department in the next 30 days will install the required <br />water mains The staff has received the final site improvement <br />drawings fo LaSalle Park from Chas. W. Cole and Son, and have <br />already beet forwarded to Chicago DHUD office for review and <br />approval. It is hoped that approval is received within two weeks <br />in order that bid advertising can proceed. <br />b. Ind strial Expansion Project, R -56. The Chicago office <br />representat ves are pleased at the interest this staff has shown in <br />expediting he approval for the Industrial Expansion Loan and Grant <br />Application R -56. That office reports that the review is moving <br />along satis actorily. <br />There being no further questions or discussion, Mr. Bellinger <br />introduced Mr. Richard Johnson, who is Mr. Bellinger's replacement <br />as Principal. Planner of the Area Plan. Commission. <br />The next re ular meeting of the Redevelopment Commission will be <br />at 10 :30 A. M., July 6, 1967, in the office of the Redevelopment <br />Department. <br />7. ADJOURNMENT.
