This resolution <br />applies to <br />rehabilitation grant money which was-removed from the"` <br />initial application <br />by DHUD, and now at their request is being <br />reinstated. <br />b. Commission <br />approval was given to enter into an agreement <br />'CONTRACT WITH <br />with the South <br />Bend Water Works Department for the installation <br />-WATER WORKS DEPT. <br />of water mains <br />in the LaSalle Park Project, R -57, at a cost of <br />FOR LASALLE PARK, <br />$11,120.85, <br />upon the motion by Mr. Kompar, seconded by Mr. Chenney. <br />R -57 <br />This approa <br />h provides considerable savings to the Redevelopment <br />Department <br />and is a normal job activity performed by the Water <br />Works Depar <br />ment. <br />c. DIX CONTRACT <br />Contract fo <br />the Central Downtown Project, R-66, The original <br />FOR CENTRAL DOWNTOWN, <br />contract wa <br />so worded that additional buildings could be <br />R -66 <br />added as ne <br />ded, and it has become necessary to add additional <br />buildings a <br />a cost of $15.00 per building, thus the total cost <br />of the contract <br />is increased to $4,200. Motion was made by <br />Mi. Chenney, <br />seconded by Mr. Kompar. <br />d. Upon <br />the motion by Mr. Kompar, seconded by Mr. Chenney, <br />3 OPTION AGREEMENTS <br />the Commission <br />approved the execution of 3 option 'agreements <br />FOR LASALLE PARK <br />for parcels <br />27 -13, 37 -12, and 40 -3 in the LaSalle Park <br />R -57 <br />Project, R-57. <br />e. The <br />staff received approval to invest the following <br />INVESTMENTS IN <br />funds into <br />. S. Treasury bills: (1) $200,000 from Project <br />U. S.. TREASURY BILLS <br />Expenditures <br />Account Fund R -29 for a period of 90 days, and (2) <br />.$200,000.from <br />the District Capital Fund, for a period of 60 days, <br />upon the motion <br />by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr. Kompar. <br />f. The <br />I <br />Commission approved the motion by Mr. Kompar, seconded <br />OFFICE SPACE LEASE <br />by Mr. Chen <br />ey, that the Redevelopment Department's office lease <br />RENEWED <br />with 120 West <br />LaSalle, Inc., be executed, subject to legal <br />counsel review.. <br />The lease commences June 1,1967 and extends <br />to May 31, <br />969, or until such time as the County -City Build- <br />ing is read <br />for occupancy, and is in the amount of $434.50 per month. <br />g. The <br />South Bend Lathe, Division of Amsted, Industries, <br />PROPERTY TRANSFER <br />located in larcel <br />6 of the Sample Street Project., R -7, has <br />APPROVED.FOR SOUTH <br />approached the <br />Redevelopment staff 'requesting a property. "'BEND <br />LATHE OF <br />transfer with <br />an adjacent property owner, Huckins'Tool and <br />PARCEL $, SAMPLE <br />Die Co., Inc. <br />Since the trade is not in violation with the <br />STREET,.R -7 <br />Sample Stre <br />t Urban Renewal Plan, and in no way conflicts with` <br />the agreement <br />between'South Bend Lathe and the Redevelopment <br />Commission, <br />the Commission approved the motion"by Mr. Kompar,' <br />seconded by <br />Mr. Chenney, that the trade be permitted in <br />accordance with <br />the mapped out diagram indicating Huckins <br />and South Bend <br />Lathe properties, and the desired area of land <br />to be traded. <br />h.
