i. Action, Inc. has requested the Redevelopment Department <br />to rent a parcel of land, known as Parcel 39 -4 in the LaSalle <br />Park Project, R -57, to their organization for use as a Tot -Lot. <br />This summer recreational facility will be fenced in and equipped <br />by Action, Inc. This lease will contain a 30 -day notice of <br />cancellZLtion which will be invoked when the Parcel is needed <br />for its designated use by the Redevelopment Department. A charge <br />of $10 a year will be made for rental of this property. Approval <br />of this transaction came on .a motion by Mr. Helmen, seconded by <br />Rev. Kirk. <br />LEASE OF PROPERTY <br />IN LASALLE PARK, <br />R -57 TO ACTION, INC. <br />j. The staff received approval of the Commission on a motion INVESTMENT OF FUNDS <br />by Mr. elmen, seconded by Rev. Kirk to invest the following funds: <br />(1) Pro ect Expenditures Account Fund, Ind. R -57: $350,000 for 6 months <br />200,000 for 3 months <br />100,000 for 60 days <br />(2) Urban Redevelopment District Capital Fund: 200,000 for 3 months <br />(3) Projlect Temporary Loan Repayment Fund, R -29: 57,000 for 3 months <br />k. Upon motion by Mr. Kompar, seconded by Rev. Kirk, the SECOND AND THIRD <br />Redevelopment Commission chose the following two firms for the ACQUISITION APPRAISERS <br />Second and Third Acquisition Appraisals for the Downtown Project, FOR DOWNTOWN PROJECT, <br />R -66: Ronald E. Gettel, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Michiana Appraisal R -66 <br />Company, South Bend, Indiana. A majority of this work will not <br />begin until the Project receives Loan and Grant approval from <br />DHUD. The selection of the appraisers at this time will make <br />it possible to appraise properties: involved in early land <br />acquisition following local approval of the Project. <br />7. <br />a. Diagnostic Survey Progress Report, LaSalle Park R -57 <br />There is a toal number of 632 homes involved in this Survey <br />of which 259 interviews have been completed; 7 were found <br />vacant, 12 refused to cooperate, 354 are remaining to be <br />interviewed. If no unforeseen delays occur the work.will be <br />complete according to schedule.
