Mr. Bellinger <br />informed the Commission that the Chas. <br />PRECONSTRUCTION <br />Cole <br />and Son Engineering Firm has scheduled the required <br />CONFERENCE, RE <br />preconstruction <br />conference with the various contractors <br />SITE IMPROVF- <br />that have <br />been selected, subject to federal approval, <br />MENT CONTRACTS <br />�to perforin <br />the site improvement contract work in the <br />FOR LA SALLE <br />LaSalle <br />lark Project, R-57, for this afternoon at 2:00 <br />PARK, R-57 <br />P. M. <br />at the Engineer's Office. In connection with <br />,this conference, <br />Mr. William Morris has requested that <br />he be <br />given the opportunity to speak to this Commission. <br />Mr. Wiggins <br />indicated that at this point in the Com- <br />missicn <br />meeting was the proper time. Mr. Morris spoke <br />on behalf <br />of the NAACP, and introduced other represen- <br />tatives <br />of various committees and agencies supporting <br />him. <br />Copies of Executive order 11246,: dated October <br />25, 1965, <br />which outlines the guidelines for Equal <br />Employ.ment,Opportunity <br />-Officers was distributed to the <br />Commission. <br />As a review, the 10 point program was out- <br />lined, <br />consisting of a new form HUD-907, dated July, <br />,1967, <br />The staff indicated they have not as yet received <br />form HUD-907. <br />-After a lengthy discussion,-the Commi- <br />sion a ' <br />aproved the motion by Re - v. Kirk, supported by Mr. <br />Kompar, <br />that the Redevelopment Department require a <br />written <br />affirmative plan by the various contractors, in <br />accord <br />nee with the instructions spelled out on form <br />HUD-90 <br />of the <br />, to be submitted within 15 days after execution <br />subject contracts. <br />-4- <br />
