<br />The staff received three bids for the purpose of

<br />Upon consideration of these bids, the Commission
<br />replace the subject car from federal project
<br />indaccepted the best bid of Gates Chevrolet., upon

<br />c. Due to the fact that several disposition parcels
<br />were bid on by more than one bidder in connection with the
<br />LaSalle Park Project, R-57, President Wiggins on the assent
<br />of Mess s. Kompar and Chenney, called a special meeting
<br />for Tue3day, April 23, 1968, at 10:00 A. M., in the office
<br />of the edevelopment Department to discuss this matter and
<br />to take appropriate action.
<br />d. The staff has been approached by the subcontractor
<br />who is installing the fence for the pedestrian overpass,
<br />Chapin 3treet Pro-Ject, R-29. A new product is on the mar-
<br />ket now wich.is steel fencing but is coated with aluminum
<br />to make it more weather resistant. The original specifi-
<br />cations called for galvanized steel fencing, but in view
<br />of this new, superior product, the staff recommends this
<br />change or the approximate additional charge of $250.
<br />This it m will be tabled until the next regular Commission
<br />meeting in order for the staff to secure the appropriate
<br />written change order.
