In the LaSalle Park Project, R-57, the south boun-
dary line of the project ends about k block north of West-
ern Avenue, which also is the first east-west alley north
of Western Avenue, consequently the paving ends at the
intersection of subject alley. The City has informed the
staff that City funds are not available to continue the
paving to Western Avenue. In order to eliminate an eleva-
tion and appearance difference, it will be necessary to--
continue the pavement specifications to Western Avenue, and
the Cormnission approved the staff recommendation that on
the through streets only, the contract will be increased
to include this extension, and the work to run concurrently
with the project street work, on motion by Mr. Chenney,
seconded by Mr. Kompar. The payment for this work will be
taken from the bond issue approved today.
h.
