In the LaSalle Park Project, R-57, the south boun- <br />dary line of the project ends about k block north of West- <br />ern Avenue, which also is the first east-west alley north <br />of Western Avenue, consequently the paving ends at the <br />intersection of subject alley. The City has informed the <br />staff that City funds are not available to continue the <br />paving to Western Avenue. In order to eliminate an eleva- <br />tion and appearance difference, it will be necessary to-- <br />continue the pavement specifications to Western Avenue, and <br />the Cormnission approved the staff recommendation that on <br />the through streets only, the contract will be increased <br />to include this extension, and the work to run concurrently <br />with the project street work, on motion by Mr. Chenney, <br />seconded by Mr. Kompar. The payment for this work will be <br />taken from the bond issue approved today. <br />h.
