<br />Upon a motion by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the proposals were referred
<br />to Engineering for review.
<br />AWARD BID — VESTED INTEREST BUILDING ROOF REPAIR — PROJECT NO. 119-049
<br />(RWDA TIF)
<br />Ms. Charlotte Brach, Engineering, advised the Board that on September 10, 2019, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Brach
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the sole, lowest responsive and responsible
<br />bidder of the Base Bid, Midland Engineering Company, Inc., 52369 State Road 933 North, South
<br />Bend, 46637 in the amount of $226,800. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Dorau seconded the
<br />motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — ONE 1 OR MORE 2019 OR NEWER LP POWERED LIFT TRUCK —
<br />SPEC N (EQUIPMENT SERVICES CAPITAL LEASE)
<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on May 28, 2019, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced equipment. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Hull Lift Truck, 4221 Technology Drive, South Bend, IN 46628 in the amount of $31,846 for the
<br />Base Bid only. He noted the low bidder was not able to offer a warranty on their equipment and
<br />was deemed non -responsive. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Dorau seconded the motion, which
<br />carried.
<br />AWARD BID — ONE (1) OR MORE 2019 OR NEWER 4X4 CREW CAB CONCRETE
<br />TRUCK — SPEC T (SEWER CAPITAL)
<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on September 10, 2019, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced equipment. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Jordan Ford, 609 E. Jefferson Blvd., Mishawaka, IN 46545 in the amount of $57,680 each plus
<br />$985 for the dealer suggested option. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Dorau seconded the
<br />motion, which carried. Mr. Gilot noted the Board doesn't approve "options" and the term should
<br />be "alternate".
