6. BID PROPOSALS FOR REAL ESTATE INDIANA R -7 Mr. Chong stated a Mr. Goldstein has contacted the Redevelopment BID PROPOSAL Department regarding a 5 -acre area in Project Ind. R -7 for con- IND. R -7 structio of a 25- person rest home. Mr. Goldstein was notified_ that the local Zoning Ordinance prohibits the construction of rest homes in a commercial district. The United Beverage Company resubmitted a proposal for parcel UNITED BEV- 1(a) at a bid price of 23.7 per sq. ft. on two conditions: RRAGE CO. favorable test borings and determination as to feasibility of PARCEL 1(a) providing a left -turn traffic waiting zone in median strip on APPROVAL Prairie Avenue located approximately 300 feet east of Prairie - Chapin i tersection. On motion by Mr. Kompar, seconded by Mr. Helmen, the Commission unanimously approved the bid offer, subject to the feasibility of providing the prospective rede- veloper ith a traffic waiting zone. 7. OLD 13USINF-SS The Commission, on motion by Mr. Louis, seconded by Mr. Helmen, approved the adoption of the additions and changes of the admin- istrative practice policies of the Redevelopment Department retroactive to the organizational meeting held on January 4, 1965. These policies are filed -under "Administrative Practice Policies' in the Redevelopment Department alphabetical files, and are hereby made a part of the minutes. Upon thorough investigation by Mr. Kompar of office space avail- able in the downtown central area, it was the Commission's unanimou recommendation, on motion by Mr. Louis, seconded by Mr. Helmen, that the Redevelopment Department proceed with negotiating for quarters in the LaSalle West Building, and that Mr. Denniston be given a 60 -day notice of our vacation of his offices, commencing February 1, 1965.
