6. BID PROPOSALS FOR REAL ESTATE INDIANA R -7 <br />Mr. Chong stated a Mr. Goldstein has contacted the Redevelopment BID PROPOSAL <br />Department regarding a 5 -acre area in Project Ind. R -7 for con- IND. R -7 <br />structio of a 25- person rest home. Mr. Goldstein was notified_ <br />that the local Zoning Ordinance prohibits the construction of <br />rest homes in a commercial district. <br />The United Beverage Company resubmitted a proposal for parcel UNITED BEV- <br />1(a) at a bid price of 23.7 per sq. ft. on two conditions: RRAGE CO. <br />favorable test borings and determination as to feasibility of PARCEL 1(a) <br />providing a left -turn traffic waiting zone in median strip on APPROVAL <br />Prairie Avenue located approximately 300 feet east of Prairie - <br />Chapin i tersection. On motion by Mr. Kompar, seconded by Mr. <br />Helmen, the Commission unanimously approved the bid offer, <br />subject to the feasibility of providing the prospective rede- <br />veloper ith a traffic waiting zone. <br />7. OLD 13USINF-SS <br />The Commission, on motion by Mr. Louis, seconded by Mr. Helmen, <br />approved the adoption of the additions and changes of the admin- <br />istrative practice policies of the Redevelopment Department <br />retroactive to the organizational meeting held on January 4, <br />1965. These policies are filed -under "Administrative Practice <br />Policies' in the Redevelopment Department alphabetical files, <br />and are hereby made a part of the minutes. <br />Upon thorough investigation by Mr. Kompar of office space avail- <br />able in the downtown central area, it was the Commission's <br />unanimou recommendation, on motion by Mr. Louis, seconded by <br />Mr. Helmen, that the Redevelopment Department proceed with <br />negotiating for quarters in the LaSalle West Building, and <br />that Mr. Denniston be given a 60 -day notice of our vacation of <br />his offices, commencing February 1, 1965. <br />ADMINISTRA- <br />TIVE PRACTICE <br />POLICIES <br />CENTRAL <br />OFFICE <br />LOCATION <br />8. NEW BUSINESS <br />On motion by Mr. Helmen, seconded by Mr. Louis, the Commission CERTIFICATES <br />gave authorization and approval to the Redevelopment Department OF <br />to prepa e for execution Certificates of Completion to the COMPLETION <br />followin redevelopers in the Indiana Rr7,$ample Street Project IND.
