COMMdJNICATIONS <br />Mr. Chon reported that the Regional Office, on January 29, 1965 DEMOLITION <br />approved the awarding of the demolition and site clearance con- CONTRACT <br />tract to Rieth -Riley Construction Company, Division "All (Alter- SIGNING <br />nate No. 2) and Division "B", in the total respective amounts of IND. R -29 <br />$74,840 ?,nd $12,790. On motion by Mr. Helmen, seconded by Mr. <br />Louis, t e Commission authorized the president and secretary to <br />execute he demolition and site clearance contract with Rieth- <br />Riley Co struction Company, Inc.,_P.O. Box 775, South Bend, Indiana. <br />On motion by Mr. Louis, seconded by Mr. Kompar, the Commission RELOCATION <br />gave unanimous approval to Mr. Chong, Executive Director, and WORKSHOP <br />Mr. Scott, Relocation Director, to attend a Relocation Workshop <br />to be held in Chicago, Illinois, on February 10, and 11, 1965. <br />Housing Authority Executive Director Jesse L. Dickinson, in a. LAND <br />letter dated 1/5/65, stated there is concern on the removal of DISPOSITION- <br />basements in the Chapin Street clearance project on Land that is BASEMENT <br />to be acquired by them. On meeting with Mr. Chong, Mr. Dickin- REMOVAL R -29 <br />son stat d that the Housing Authority might be satisfied if the <br />reuse va ue of the land will reflect the degree of removal of <br />basement . <br />-3- <br />
