p 4CE
_1865
Road Reconstruction of Olive Street
FROM PRAIRIE AVENUE TO TUCKER DRIVE
PROJECT (MANAGEMENT IDEAS
E S T () 14 E M E E TINGS
Bret will conduct Milestone Meetings which will offer an opportunity for City representatives to stay abreast of
critical events. City representatives will be invited to join the contractor's superintendent along with Bret to tour
the project site upon completion of key milestone events. By offering Milestone Meetings, City personnel are
given the flexibility to save valuable time in their busy schedules which would otherwise be tied up by frequent
attendance at weekly or bi-weekly progress meetings.
At each meeting, the contractor will present an updated schedule and communicate when the next key milestone
will be completed. These milestones will be determined when the contractor submits the construction schedule
for review. The proactive field checks keep the City informed of real-time progress and allows representatives
to discuss any trouble areas, areas of concern, or recommended change in the field.
SCHEDUI 1111,14G I) T E SIj !D j E N T I j C T j f'°,f' f O C014CERNS
Bret will provide a schedule overview analysis on a bi-weekly basis to the Project Engineer, Alicia Czarnecki, and
the contractor to identify anomalies in the construction schedule and allow project personnel to quickly identify
scheduling and budget issues. A comparison of planned versus actual time and any differences, positive or
negative, can be reviewed, assessed, and mitigated before becoming an issue.
The following chart illustrates an example of a schedule analysis.
Subbase
z
o Subgrade
Backfill
w
a
O Pipe Install
Schedule Analysis Example
0 O.5 1 1.5 2 2.5 3 3.5
WEEKS
Difference N Actual A•' Planned
LETTER OF INTEREST TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES I UNITED CONSULTINGPAGE 6
