SHIFT WORK <br />Section IV. (A) When two (2) shifts are <br />employed each shift shall work seven <br />and one-half (7 1/2) hours for eight (8) <br />hours pay at regular time; when three (3) <br />shifts are employed, seven (7) hours <br />shall constitute a day's work for each <br />shift for which a regular wage of eight <br />(8) hours shall be paid or a proportionate <br />part thereof for time worked. When <br />multiple shifts are worked three (3) days <br />or more in a single work week; Saturday, <br />Sunday or recognized holidays the <br />following shall apply: (1) Double the <br />straight time rate of wages shall be <br />applied beginning on Saturday at 12:00 <br />a.m. (2) When two (2) shifts are <br />employed, each shift shall work seven <br />and one-half (7'h) hours for eight (8) <br />hours pay at double the straight time rate <br />of wages. (3) When three (3) shifts are <br />employed, each shift shall work seven <br />(7) hours for eight (8) hours pay at <br />double the straight time rate of wages or <br />a proportionate part thereof for time <br />worked. <br />All hours worked between the hours of <br />12:01 a.m. Sunday and 12:00 midnight <br />Sunday on one (1), two (2), or three (3) <br />shift jobs shall be paid at the rate of <br />double time. On multiple shift projects, <br />a shift differential of $0.50 per lour will <br />be added to the second shift employees. <br />A shift differential of 1.00 per hour will. <br />be added to the third shift employees. <br />When single shifts are worked outside <br />the standard work day, such shifts shall <br />be treated as second or third shifts, based <br />on whichever time frame the majority of <br />straight -time hours fall in. Accordingly, <br />shift additives as well as the one -hall' <br />hour second shift differential and the one <br />(1) hour third shift differential are <br />payable on single shifts worked on this <br />basis.
