IRON WORKERS REQUIRED ON <br />GUY AND STIFF LEG DERRICKS <br />MOBILE OR POWER RIGS <br />Section XXV. (A) No less than six (6) <br />men and a foreman shall be employed <br />around any guy or stiff leg derrick used <br />on steel erection; -and on all mobile or <br />power -operated rigs of any description <br />no less than four (4) men and a foreman <br />shall be employed. By mutual consent <br />of the contractor and Union <br />Representative, crew sizes can be <br />adjusted while off-loading material or <br />during the erection of light counercial <br />buildings. All work shall be performed <br />in a safe manner. <br />(B) When a tower crane or ringer is <br />being used and when visibility is <br />restricted between workmen and <br />operator, a fifth man shall be employed <br />as a signal man. <br />RIVETING GANGS <br />Section XXVI. (A) Riveting gangs shall <br />be composed of not less than four (4) <br />men at all times. The employer may <br />require the heaters to have their fires <br />ready to furnish hot rivets at the regular <br />starting time, but in such event, the <br />heaters shall be paid double time for <br />such time worked before the regular <br />starting time. <br />(B) When three (3) or more riveting <br />gangs are employed on any job, a <br />foreman shall be employed who shall not <br />be required to work in any riveting gang <br />except where emergencies arise which <br />will require the foreman to temporarily <br />fill in the gang. <br />51 52 <br />
