RESOLUTION NO. 74 AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF BID FOR LAND.IN <br />TBE SAMPLE STREET REDEVELOPMENT AREA <br />Stadiana, Inc., subsidiary of United Parcel Service, has submitted <br />its Redeveloper's Statement for Public Disclosure and Statement of <br />Qualifications and Financial Responsibility to the Redevelopment <br />Department, in an offer to buy land in the Sample Street Industrial <br />Area. On motion made by Mr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Koczan and <br />unanimo sly carried, the Commission approved the offer to buy.the <br />land at the approved price of 23.7 per sq. ft., subject to HHFA <br />concurr nce. Resolution No. 74 covering this authorization is here- <br />by attached and made.a part of .these minutes. <br />V. PRO RESS REPORT <br />Mr. Suc <br />er reported that by <br />early Spring, the Redevelop- <br />SAMPLE ST. <br />ment De <br />artment hopes to be <br />able to advertise the remain- <br />R -7 . <br />ing land <br />in the Sample Street Indiana R--7 Industrial Area, <br />DISPOSITION <br />and sho <br />ld be ready to sell <br />the land by April or May. The <br />OF LAND <br />old pla will be vacated by that time, and the new one <br />recorde . <br />There are approximately 57 parcels under option or acqui- ACQUISITION <br />red in the Chapin Street Indiana R -29 area. Letters will REPORT <br />be sent to the remaining owners asking them to`come to the R -29 <br />office ro sign options. After that, registered letters <br />will be sent to owners, making written offers. All would <br />-4- <br />
