Most of the <br />improvements should be completed in 1964 and by 1965 the <br />Redevelopment Department will be ready to sell the land <br />to the Park Department and the South Bend Housing Authority. <br />It was suggested by Mrs. Curtis, that, if possible, the <br />Housin Authority and our Relocation Department work <br />closer together. <br />A report <br />is expected from Parkin s, Rogers and Associa- <br />LASALLE <br />tes on <br />the Eligibility Survey in the LaSalle Park R -41 <br />PARK AREA <br />Area within <br />two weeks. This will be submitted to Chicago <br />IND. R -41 <br />for their <br />review. At that time, Mr. Peter Gillis will be <br />asked to <br />review and submit a revised report on market <br />absorption. <br />HHFA Auditors <br />have been auditing the books of the Re- <br />AUDIT <br />development <br />Department for a period of about a month, and, <br />REPORT <br />up to this <br />point, they feel the books are in excellent <br />shape. <br />Mr. Su <br />her reported that progress on land disposition in <br />LAND <br />the Sample <br />Street R -7 area has been encouraging. In <br />DISPOSITION <br />addition <br />to the three acres sold, we have several likely <br />IND. R -7 <br />customers; <br />on the parcels which will be commercial, lively <br />bidding <br />is expected. <br />Mr. Chas. <br />L.
