Barany Agency 8.00 <br />Newman & Altman, Inc. 3.00 <br />$11.00 <br />440.01 Parcel 9 -2 Quietus Nos. 4499 -4503 <br />8/16/61 - Checks ##23881 23885 <br />(Closing not made as scheduled) $6,964.80 <br />On motion made by Mr. Koczan, seconded by Mr. Williams, and unani- <br />mously carried, claims for payment totaling $781163.31 were endorsed <br />by the Commission. <br />IV. RESOLUTION NO. 34 <br />Henry Sucher reported to the Commission that he, Messrs. Frederick K. <br />Baer, Edwin L. Davies and James G. Louis were in Chicago to confer <br />with the HHFA with respect to securing financial assistance to <br />develop a Feasibility Study for the Central South Bend Area. He <br />reported that the group was well received in Chicago and that the <br />HHFA was willing to finance such a Feasibility Study. Mr. Sucher <br />suggested that estimates of the cost and the extent of "the work to <br />be performed be secured from the following firms who specialize in <br />this type of study: <br />Candeub, Fleissig & Associates <br />Newark, New Jersey <br />Victor Gruen Associates <br />Beverly Hills, California <br />Blair Associates <br />Providence, Rhode Island <br />On motion duly "made-, seconded, and unanimously passed, the following <br />resolutions were enacted: <br />,RESOLVED that the South Bend Redevelopment Commission proceed <br />a promptly as possible with a Feasibility Study of the Central <br />S uth Bend Area. <br />.THER RESOLVED that the Executive Director request estimates <br />the cost and extent of the Feasibility Study from the afore- <br />.es firms and that the firms selected be submitted to the <br />A for approval. <br />-3- <br />
