BODY <br />RESOLUTION NO. 28 <br />ION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, GOVERNING <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT, <br />G THE DEMOLITION CONTRACT FOR THE SAMPLE STREET REDEVELOP- <br />MENT PPOJECT AREA, INDIANA R -7. <br />EREAS, the Commissioners were advised that a detailed study <br />had be n made of all of the demolition bids submitted, <br />EREAS, after a careful analysis of all the bids, the Com- <br />missioners were of the opinion that the bid of Interstate Demolition <br />Corpor tion, a Delaware Corporation, should be accepted for the <br />following reasons: <br />1. Vlore than two (2) bids were received, <br />as required by HHFA Regulations. <br />2. The Interstate Demolition Corporation <br />submitted the lowest bid. <br />3. <br />The <br />Company <br />is financially sound. <br />4. <br />The <br />Company's <br />schedule of work is such <br />that they can start on the project <br />immediately. <br />S. References checked out and show that <br />Company's work has been satisfactory <br />in other cities and that other parties <br />with whom they have done business would <br />re -hire the Company for further work. <br />6. Written approval to firm has been received <br />from the HHFA. <br />7. There was no irregularity or informality <br />in the bidding procedure or in the bid <br />of the Interstate Demolition Corporation. <br />8. The bid price submitted is within the <br />cost estimate concurred in by HHFA. <br />
