just whi wit] cap (No. 7) RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission, has rmined that the four appraisers selected possess qualifications fying the expectation that they will furnish appraisal reports on h the Commission and the Housing & Home Finance Agency can act confidence, and that they will be able to support their conclusions bly in the event of investigation or court proceedings; and WHEREAS, the appraisers have represented to the satisfaction of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission that they do not have any interest, present or prospective, that could reasonably be construed either to impair their ability to furnish impartial reports, or to raise any question as to their impartiality or fairness; and WHEREAS, the proposed contracts conform to the Housing & Ho e Finance Agency standard form of appraisal contract No. H -639; and WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission, on the bas s of inquiries among other users of professional appraisal services has determined that the compensation to be paid is: se be of des Are (a) fair and proper under all circumstances; (b) at rates that do not exceed what typically would be paid in the locality for equivalent services, based on compensation that has been paid and is being paid by others for similar services; (c) the compensation to be paid is within the limitation of the approved budget on the amount available for such services; and WHEREAS, the proposed contract for the selected appraisers' .ces will fulfill the needs and requirements of the project and will serve the interest of the project with due regard for the objective lding the expense to a minimum; NOW, THEREFORE, the following individuals are hereby .gnated to each appraise 1/4 of the Sample Street Redevelopment a for an overall fee of $1,750 each, with court appearance to be Lpensated at the rate of $100 per full day and $50 for I/Z day or less.
