(8), PAO0AESS REPORT <br />Sampl Street Project <br />Mr. Sucher stated that the Master Plan is progressing satisfactorily, and should <br />meet initial federal requirements by the end of 1959. <br />ect <br />The proposal of the Znd project - the "Downtown Project" went before the Council <br />about a month ago, but it was decided not to ask for approval then, but rather to <br />delay action until the outcome of both the Building Authority and the Housing <br />Bill "'have bpen decided. <br />(9) �ONTRACT - MARKETABILITY STUDY & REUSE <br />APPRAISAL <br />Mr. Sucher related that our Contract for the Marketability Study and Reuse <br />Appra,J,sal has been approved by the Chicago Office, and wblre .now ready to <br />forward it to the Real Estate Research Corporation, the firm contracted for <br />this work. <br />Copies of the Contract wer a then executed by the Commission President and <br />Secret ry, respectively. <br />Mr. S Cher will forward these copies to the Real Estate Research Corporation <br />for the'`r signature, along with a letter authorizing them to proceed with the <br />study, <br />(10) PRINTING OF HOUSING CODES <br />Verhe, Laic, Building Commissioner, has asked the Redevelopment . <br />Department to assume 50% ($200) of the cost of printing the Housing Codes. His <br />reason'ng for this request was as follows: <br />(1) The Codes relate to the functioning of both departments. <br />(2) The allocated funds in the Printing Account of the <br />Department cannot meet this printing cost. <br />Mr, 'V�T'lliams made a motion to approve the expenditure of $200 toward the print- <br />ing co t of the Housing Code.
