BonDurant > /i <br />Richard Muessel, Jr. <br />Peter Gillis. , <br />Arthur G._ Voigt <br />/'/5-o <br />Each apprteed ser shall complete his appraisals within ,60 days after receiving authoriza- <br />tion to pro with his work. 4' <br />In o der to make the foregoing determinations, the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commissio has: <br />( la <br />(3) <br />(4) <br />Uade appropriate inquiries among users of. appraisal services, parm, <br />titularly other public agencies, to identify the best qualified appraisers <br />for the particular assignment and to obtain information as to their <br />competence and qualifications to perform the proposed appraisal <br />services. <br />Made inquiries of the attorney expected to handle condemnation liti- <br />gation for, the Local Public Agency and of condemnation trial attorneys <br />for other, public. agencies, to obtain information as to the relative <br />abilities of the appraisers to support their valuations by court testimony, <br />Made pertinent in among other users of professional appraisal <br />services, particularly other public agencies, to estimate the- prevailing <br />rate in the locality for equivalent services, including the obtaining of <br />information with respect to the rates of compensation that have been and <br />are being paid to the appraisers, the types of property appraised, the <br />extent and character ,of the appraisal reports and services furnished, and <br />the caliber of the appraisers employed. <br />Given: full consideration. to available qualified appraiser's, -conferred <br />with six of them, and selected four appraisers to perform the required <br />work. In conferring with appraisers, the Local Public Agency, has <br />ensured that each such appraiser fully understands the requirements, has <br />ascertained their qualifications for the particular assignment, and <br />obtained proposals as to the conditions under which they would undertake <br />the work. . <br />
