or town treasurer, which warrant or warrants shall be paid <br />out of the general funds of such city or town not theretofore <br />appropriated, without special appropriation being made therefore <br />by the common council or approved by any other body. In case <br />there are no unappropriated general funds of the city or town, <br />the officer or officers of the city or town charged by law for the <br />performance of duties in respect to the funds and accounts of <br />the city or town shall recommend to the common council the <br />temporary transfer from other funds of the city or town a sufficient <br />amount to meet such items of expense or the making. of a temporary <br />loan for such purpose, and the common council shall immediately <br />make such transfer of funds or authorize such temporary loan <br />in the same manner that other transfers and temporary loans <br />are made by the city or town. The amount so to be advanced <br />by the city or town shall not exceed fifty - thousand dollars <br />and the fund or funds of the city or town from which such <br />advancement is made shall be fully reimbursed and repaid <br />by the Redevelopment Commissioners out of the first proceeds <br />of the special taxes levied under the provisions of this act. <br />No part of the funds advanced by the city or town shall be <br />used in the acquisition of real estate. <br />gifts, donations, proceeds of sales, or payments whatsoever which <br />are given pr paid to the Department of Redevelopment or to the city or town for <br />redevelopment purposes shall belong to. the "Redevelopment District Fund" to <br />be used b} the commissioners for the purposes of this act. <br />
