South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Rescheduled Regular Meeting -November 2, 2007
6. NEW BUSINESS
A. Public Hearing
(5) continued...
Mr. Peczkowski observed that the grounds
maintenance has gone up significantly from
2006. He asked if increased labor accounts
for the changes. Ms. Cathy Catlin responded
that the biggest chunk of that increase is
snow removal. There was a significant
amount of snow last winter. There was also
an unforeseen problem with pigeons.
Mr. Peczkowski asked if the tenants pay for
the increase in their CAMS. Ms. Catlin
responded that, yes, the CAM is reconciled in
the first quarter.
Ms. Jones opened the public hearing for
whoever wished to be heard regarding
Resolution No. 2384.
MR. CATLIN: Yes, like I just said, we
charge them back the Common Area
Maintenance. So, we estimate what they are
going to be for the budget year, then we go
back to them after the budget year is closed
and make adjustments. Sometimes it's a
credit, sometimes it's an additional charge.
MR. MANIGAULT: I've read previously. I
don't have it with me here. I want to ask
specifically about LePeeps Restaurant. It's a
restaurant I frequent a lot. My understanding
is that they are being forgiven $21,000 on the
24
