South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting -November 2, 2007 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Public Hearing <br />(3) continued... <br />statement from Mr. Nicholas Witwer that on <br />October 19 the affected property owners and <br />registered neighborhood associations were <br />sent notice of the public hearing; (6) A <br />statement from Mr. Witwer that on <br />October 19 of this year the taxing units of St. <br />Joseph County were sent notice of the public <br />hearing. The mail was checked prior to the <br />meeting and there were 0 written <br />remonstrances received. <br />Mr. Witwer noted that Resolution No. 2383 <br />amends the West Washington-Chapin <br />Development Area boundaries. It removes <br />from the WWCDA the Hurwich and <br />Marycrest areas which were added to the <br />Airport Economic Development Area by <br />Resolution No. 2351. It also removes about <br />half a block bounded by Taylor, Wayne, <br />William and the alley between Wayne and <br />Western on the south. That half block is <br />intended to be added to the South Bend <br />Central Development Area for the Coveleski <br />Neighborhood planning efforts. <br />Ms. Jones noted that both of these areas are <br />currently in a development area and are being <br />moved to a different development area. <br />There is no new area being made part of a <br />development area. Mr. Witwer confirmed <br />that that is correct. <br />Mr. King noted that the portion moved from <br />the West Washington-Chapin area to the <br />Airport Economic Development Area is more <br />consistent with the plans and programs for <br />21 <br />
