City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Gent lemen: - <br />In regard to the petitions from brick a,nd, asphalt pavements of North Lafayette <br />Street from Navarre Street to Foote Strr et. I find <br />there are 12 resident freeholders on <br />the street. . Five of them,Nellie G.Paxpon,Daniel Poehlman.,George Sindlinger, M.E.Crane and <br />Edward Galles have-. signed for brick and five, John Klein.di.nst,Anna M.Beck,N.C.Stuck. Lula <br />B. Wiley and Thomas Staudt have signed for asphalt. <br />Two resident property holders, Stephen F.Brown and Huldad Ann Dinnerboiler haven't <br />signed either petition. Air. John C..Paxsen who signed the brick petition nnd. G.E. Vehlert <br />who signed the asphalt petition are not resident freeholders. 0_ <br />I therefore find that the brick petition does not constitute a majority of the <br />resident freeholders aad recommend that the contract be awarded to the 'WESTERN C )NSTRUCTION <br />COMPANY, the lowest and., -best bidders, for asphalt. <br />Very respectfully submitted,, <br />Vd&.
