CONDEMNATION RESOLUTION NO. 16, 1912. ✓ RESOLVED, By the Board of Puili-e Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana:.That it is deemed, and desired uesessary ;to open and extend Grace Street to a uniform width of forty feet from the west line of lots 9 and 24 in Woolverton's Sui6. Div. to the east line of Walnut Street in the City of South Bend,in St. Joseph County and State of Indiana" 2by the appropriation of part of lot 27 in Woolverton's Suti.Div. arid` •sort 'of lot 46 in Stokes Suti. D � iv. of out lot 96 specifically deseritied as follow to -wit: Beginning on the North line of Grace Street as now platted and laid out and the West line of lot 24 in Woolverton's Sub. Div.; thence Nest in a straight line. to the south- e rly line of the right-of-way of the Chicago Indiana and Southern Railway Comp sAy, t he nc e southwesterly following the southerly line of said'railw'ay right-of-way to the West line o Walnut St re_ et ; thence South along the 'west line of Walnut Street 43. 20 feet to a point 40 ft . to a point 40 feet at right angles from the southerly line of the said railway companies llel with and 46 ft. , from the southerly line of said right-of-way; thence Northeasterly para point in line with the south line of Grace Street if extended companies right-of-way to a West; thence East in a line with the South line of said Grace Street to the West line o.f Lot 9 in. Woolverton's Sub.Div.thence North 40 ft. to the place of beginning. The following described property may be injuriously or beneficially affected in the .City of South Bend,Indiana, by the opening and Vxtension of said Grace Street as above described, is known and described as the ground herein proposed to be co11 ndemned and appro- priated therefor, and all the lots and lands and parcels of lots lying within the following described territory in the -City of South Bend,Iridiaha,to-wit:- Q Beginning on the Nest lime of Arnold. S treet and the First alley North of Grace Street; thence West along the first alley North of Grace Street. to the southerly line of the right-of-way of the Chicago Indiana and Southern Railway Comp easy; 'thence 'sou`thwesterly following said right-of-way to the first alley west of Walnut Street; thence South along said alley to a point in line with the first alley south of Grace Street;thence East in a line with said alley and following said alley to. the west line of the Oliver Chilled Plow Works property; thence. North following the West line of said Oliver Chilled Plow Works property to the first alley north of Grace Street; thence west along said alley to the west line of Arnold Street, which point' is the place of beginning, all as shown on plat of said territory now on file in the office of the departure: of the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana.
