337 Friday February. 9th. 1912. Board net in ular session at 100.00 A.M. All members Present. mg:s il- Petition received "'or a Trunk Sewer on Sixth Street from the St. Joseph River to Wall Street. The same was referred to the City Civil Engineer for investigation, ✓ Remonstrance received and filed by resident property holders on La Porte Avenue remon- strancing against the resurfacing of the aforesaid street. ,"Remonstrances reset ved and i'f led signed by citizens, reronstra neing agairist the pave- ment purposed for the lst. alley North of Railroad Street from Taylor to Scott Street. Petition received from the Centrnl Union Telephone Campany,asking permission to set one pole and one &nchor in the alley south of the L.S.& !A.S.Ry.Co's tracks east mf Cherry Street. Approved. d Contract was made with J.I.Holcomb Mfg. Compony,of Indianapolis,Indiana for four(4) �),ozer_. Patent Street Brooms #155 at Seven ($7,00)Dollars per dozen. Two dozen Patent Street Brooms #115 at Nine( $9. 00) Dollars per dozen. The same approved by the Board. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 127 - A. RESOLVED,By the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That: YN- ereas,A petition has been submitted to the board of Public Works by the resident freeholders on Scott ;street from Michigan Avenue to Portage, Avenue, proposed to be im- proved ,pu rquant to Improvement Resolution No.lP7 passed by the Board of Public Works on the 10th. day of January 1912,and, WIIIRPEAS,this Board of Public Works find that said petitioners have com- plied with all steps requires by law,and that said petition contains the siMatures of., a majority of the re,,Ailent freeholders on said .Street to be improved;now THEREFORE, ci Be it re5!olved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana,that the said preliminary resolution be and is hereby modified in accordance with said petition so as to include said pavement so petitioned for, and the detail plans, and specifications for said pavement as prepared by the City Engineer,are hereby: approved and adopted, and same are hereby incorporated herein, and made a part of sedd preliminary resolution for the imp rovemelit of Scott street from Mi chi gan Avenue to Portage Avenue. Said improvement shall be known and designated as SCOTT STREET FROM MI CHI GAN AVENUE TO PORT AGE AVENUE , BRICK P AVEXENT IAPROVEDIENT # 127-A. This Board will give a hearingon this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 23rd• day of February 1012 at 7:15 PONT*_.
