<br />RESOLVED , by the Board of Public Works of the City of_ South Bend., Indiana,
<br />That it is desired and deemed necessary to make the following described public
<br />improvements in the aforesaid City as authori zed try the following numbered improvenet.

<br />Reolved that an inprovenent be n ade of the kind,size, loc€a.tion and terminal
<br />points as follows: To improve Vain Street from jrayne Street to Monroe .Street. By
<br />resurfacing tr;.e roadway., ta" so the roadway.of intersecting and entering streets, and
<br />alleys, lyin within said portion of said Main Street not included in the roadway tot
<br />be improved, with Asphalt,or Bitulithic laid on the present brick surfage , except
<br />where tt is necessary to use conreete to bring the present surface to the proper grad,
<br />grade, or to fill in the moles or other irregularities, from curb line to currb line
<br />placing, the necessary marginal cement curb7 al^o tree construction of the necessary
<br />storm water inlets all as shown on the plans, ann in accordance with the profiles
<br />detail drawin a and specifications on file in the office of the department of Public
<br />Works of s€Ad City. And said improvement is now ordered.. .Said improvement shal.l be known and designated as THE MAiN STREET RESUR-
<br />FACING, PAVF74ENT IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTiON NO. 115. -

<br />and on the 19th. day of January 1912 in the South Bend Daily Times.
<br />Said Board has fixed the 9th. day ok February 1912 as a date upon which re-
<br />moristrsnees may be filed or heard by persons interested or affected by said public
<br />improvements and on said day at 7:15 P. M.-s€a,id Boer will at its said offiee hear .
<br />and consider any remonstrators and persons interested or whose property is effected
<br />by said improvement and will decide whether the benefits that will accrue to the pro-
<br />perty, abbuttima and adJacent to the proposed improvements and to said. City, will be
<br />equal to, or exceed the estimated cost of the proposed improvements, as estimated byt
<br />the City. Civil'_Engineer.`
<br />A Bond or bonds to be issued to the contractor in payment of such work where . the
<br />property owner si �ns waiver required, as according to law. Wlti ci_ said boy ds shall
<br />bear interest at the rate of six per cent per annun, payable as provided by law.

<br />Resolved that an improvenent be Made of the kind., size,l.ocation and
<br />terminal points as follows: Tonlmprove Carroll Court from Tutt Street to Sample
<br />:street to Sample .street. By _'rad.ing and Paving tile roadway, fLl�-o gracing en(l pavin«
<br />the roadway of intersecting and entering Streets and alleys tying within said. _portion
<br />of said Carroll Court, not included in the roadway to be improved, with Asphalt,
<br />hitulithi o, Brick or Creosoted Wooden Flock, laid on to fve (5) inch Portland cement
<br />_=;ravel concrete foundation, from curb line to curb line, p <<).eing the necessary
<br />m ar ;final cement curb, also the construction of the necessary storm water inlets all
<br />as sho'%m on the plans, and in accordance with the profiles, detail plans, anE spec-

<br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 15th. day of
<br />January nd on the 22nd. clay of January.1912'_in the South Benal, Daily Times.
<br />.Said Board :has fixed the 13�h day of February 1912 as a date upon which
<br />remonstrances may be filed or heard by persons interested or affected by said Public
<br />improvements and on said Oay at,19:00 A..kl. , said Hoard will at its said office hear
<br />and consider any remonstrators and persons interested or whose property is affected
<br />by said public improvement and will decide whether the benefits that will accrue
<br />to tfie property, abutting -and adjacent to the proposed improvements and to said
<br />City, will be equal to, or exceed the estimated cost of the proposed improvements,
<br />as estimated by the City Civil Engineer.
