Upon receiving each such complaint or request for conference <br />the Utility shall: <br />a) Promptly, thoroughly and completely investigate such <br />complaint, <br />b) Confer with the customer if requested and; <br />c) Notify, in writing, the customer of the results of its <br />proposed disposition of the complaint after having made a <br />good faith attempt to resolve the complaint. <br />3. Customers who are not satisfied with the Utility's resolution <br />within the scope of these Rules and Regulations may appeal the <br />Utility's decision to the Board of Public Works. The Board of <br />Public Works, notwithstanding the guidelines contained herein, <br />may, based upon the argument(s) presented during a public <br />hearing, deviate from these Rules and Regulations in <br />determining the outcome of the appeal in its effort to reach an <br />equitable conclusion. <br />B. Service "+e ding Dis osition of Complaint <br />t <br />If the customer is receiving service at the time the complaint and/or <br />request for conference is received by the Utility, their service shall not <br />be disconnected provided the customer has paid and continues to pay <br />all bills rendered to them prior to their becoming delinquent. Payment <br />of disputed bills is discussed herein, Section V. D. — Payment. <br />C. 11411-nuC la iM <br />Claims for damage due to water quality or pressure, or other claims <br />must be submitted to the City Legal Department. <br />XV. REVISIONS, AND APPROVAL <br />The Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, shall approve <br />these Municipal Utilities Rules and Regulations. The Board reserves the <br />right to revise, amend, delete or otherwise change them as necessary from <br />time to time. These Rules shall be available to the public and shall be placed <br />on file with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. <br />E <br />
