Munici c LD'tiiwties pan vice Lines _... ..........._ Rules aft o q tions <br />Water will not be turned on unless the customer, or responsible adult <br />representing the customer, is present to check leakage or open taps on <br />the premises, inside or outside the building. The Utility will not be <br />responsible for water usage or water damage incurred by a service <br />start. The customer or their adult agent must allow the authorized <br />representative of the Utility access to the premises to inspect for any <br />violation of these Rules and Regulations. <br />Use of a meter "jumper", a pipe installed in place of a meter, is strictly <br />prohibited, except temporarily for testing in new construction. <br />Plumbers installing new plumbing, e.g., for housing starts, must <br />remove any such device after testing, and shut off water service at the <br />curb. Temporary turn -on to test plumbing will require advance <br />payment of the service charge specified in the Water Rates and <br />Charges tariff. Provided there is a working curb valve, the water will <br />be turned on at the curb and turned off the same day. Any turn on <br />requiring longer than seventy-two (72) hours of service must be <br />handled as a permanent start. <br />V. BILLING AND COLLECTION <br />A. Billin <br />Regular billings may include charges for: <br />1. Water; <br />2. Sewage; <br />3. Sales tax; <br />4. Trash collection; <br />5. Fire hydrant protection; <br />6. Fire protection (private); <br />7. County recycling; <br />8. Operation re -leaf (Clean Air); <br />9. Water service line repair; <br />10. Sewer service line repair; <br />11. Late fees; <br />12. Any non -recurring charge; or any <br />13. Other charge so designated by Ordinance. <br />All accounts will be billed monthly with the exception of sprinkler <br />accounts. Sprinkler accounts will be read and billed six (6) times per <br />year. All charges shall be as set forth by ordinance or applicable utility <br />tariffs.
