Mu,nici�al Utilities and Service Lines Rules and Regulation <br />and is connected to external utilities and electrical system. <br />L. Mobile Home Park <br />A tract of land developed with all necessary facilities and services to <br />accommodate three (3) or more mobile homes. <br />M. Past -Due <br />Any and all rates and charges unpaid to the Utility by the due date <br />indicated on the customer's bill. <br />N. Private Fire Hydrant <br />A fire hydrant that is installed on private property and is tapped off of <br />a private line, is considered a private fire hydrant. Private fire <br />hydrants must be maintained by the customer, unless under previous <br />separate agreement. <br />O. Service Line <br />A water pipe supplying water from the water main to adjacent <br />property, usually running perpendicular to the main. <br />1. FIRE LINE supplies water primarily for fire protection, whereas <br />2. DOMESTIC LINE supplies household and drinking water. <br />3. SEWER SERVICE LINE collects sewage from adjacent property <br />and transports to the sewer main. <br />P. Sewage Lien <br />A legal notice filed with the County Recorder against a property, <br />representing past delinquent sewage charges, and requiring payment <br />pursuant to IC 36-9-23-31 through IC 36-9-23-34. <br />Q. Shut -Off Amount <br />Any and all rates and charges unpaid to the Utility within thirty (30) <br />days of the due date indicated on the customer's bill, and subject to <br />disconnection. <br />R. Tap <br />An opening into the main for the service line lateral, made in a water <br />main by cutting in a valve called a CORPORATION COCK for small <br />taps of two (2) inches or less or a TAPPING SLEEVE AND VALVE for <br />larger taps, and made in a sewer main by cutting a wye connection. <br />S. Utility <br />The Utility shall mean City of South Bend Municipal Utilities, <br />including water and sewer. It is a municipal utility engaged in <br />providing a public water supply and collecting, treating and disposing <br />of wastewater. The Utility shall also include other services provided <br />through the City of South Bend Department of Public Works. <br />T.
