30 <br />N <br />Board met in regular session at .10 A.M. all members pre -gent. <br />,/Petition received and placed On file for the opening, and Appropriating of a strip <br />of ground as an extention of Union St. from Sample st. to Swygart add. south. <br />/Report of the Committee etpointed by the Judge of the St Joseph Circu't Courtthe saiqe <br />consisting Of William Kapp, Frank Ward and Albert Myers.to appraise the following <br />described property to wit',--- <br />Beginning on a line of Washington St. fifty-six (56)feet.East of the Southeast <br />corner of Washington Av6x*de,:and Sty Joseph Street.,tlience East along the South line <br />of said Washington Ave., thirty-four (34)f.'eet thence South at right angles to said <br />Washington Ave. F',,)rty-four and seven tenths (44,7) feet, thence Nor''til, sixty-eight <br />deiw ,tees (69) twenty—six L26)riinutes,west thirty -.seven wrid eight tenths (37.8) <br />feetl,thence North twenty-eiPht(29)feet,'to the place of beginning.containing <br />one thousand two hiindred and thirty --five and nine tenths (1235.9)square I-eetthe <br />same being thirty-four (34) feet frontage on said Washington Avenue, <br />The Committee apprased and fixed the true value of the property at Fifteen Hundred <br />(1500.00) dollars thesamenot to inelu(Re the gunk Wells u on the property.. <br />s <br />Report of the Committee received p1need on. file and the Com.ittee eisnissed. <br />VExcavation bond of the Oliver Clhilled'P-lo*oCo'. approved.. the same for 0100G.,00 <br />p - <br />VPetition received and refered to the City Froineer petitioning for Brick pavement <br />on the First Alley north of washington Ave, from Williams St. to Taylor St. <br />Hearing on the Condemnation of a strip of land for the eytention of Webster St. <br />VResolution No. 6 defered until April 14th. 1911-at 10 A. K. <br />Petition for a Trunk Sewer on Michigan St. from Division St. to La,Salle Avenue <br />received and refered to the City En, inee*r for specifications. <br />VHearing given on Declaratory Resolution No.52 for pavement on the First Alley West <br />of Michigan St. from South St. to Monroe St. <br />In the above matter renonstakors appeared and remonstuances were filed all remonstrance <br />over ruled. Therefore be it Resolved,that the Board find in each and every came in Paid <br />improvements that the benefits to the property,and to th-e City of South Bend are equal <br />to the estimated cost of sa6d improvements and the salkd are hereby in all things <br />ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />Be it Resolved. that notices be published in the South Bend Daily Times on the 7th. <br />Find. 14th. days of January 1911 to the effect that this Board will receive bids for the <br />construction of said improvements up to 10 A. M. on the 27th. day of January 1911 <br />The Board reserves.the right to reject any and all bids. <br />In the above matter City Engineer filed estimated cost of <br />$1518.00 <br />
