APPENDIX A <br />Commerce Center Mixed Use Development - <br />Phase 1 Building Core and Shell <br />Architectural Precast Bid Package <br />Scope of Work and Bid Form <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />GENERAL SCOPE REQUIREMENTS: <br />A. This Scope of Work of this Architectural Precast Bid Package is an independent component <br />part relating to other design and construction work associated with the Commerce Center <br />Mixed Use Development — Phase 1 Building Core and Shell ("Project'), which is being <br />performed by F.A. Wilhelm Construction Co., Inc. ("Wilhelm") acting as a design -builder. <br />B. This Scope of Work includes the design, fabrication and hoisting/erection of architectural <br />precast and any associated miscellaneous steel embeds for the Commerce Center Mixed <br />Use Development — Phase 1 Building Core and Shell located at 401 E Colfax in South Bend <br />Indiana. <br />C. This Scope of Work is to be performed on a design -build basis based upon the Architectural <br />Precast Design and Performance Criteria. <br />D. Contractor shall provide and be responsible for all design services, inclusive of any <br />engineering required to effectuate the design of the architectural precast. <br />E. Contractor shall coordinate schedule requirements, work activities, material deliveries, <br />erection sequencing, erection durations, and site logistics with Wilhelm. <br />2. SPECIFIC SCOPE REQUIREMENTS: <br />A. Contractor shall thoroughly inspect the Project site prior to bidding the make itself aware of <br />existing conditions. <br />B. The design services provided by the Contractor and its subcontractors and consultants shall <br />be provided through qualified, licensed professionals. Design services provided by the <br />Contractor and its subcontractors and consultants shall comply with all applicable laws, <br />statutes, ordinances, codes, rules and regulations, and shall be consistent and compatible <br />with the design intent as set forth in the Architectural Precast Design and Performance <br />Criteria. <br />C. The Contractor shall coordinate its design services with the Architectural Precast Design and <br />Performance Criteria and Wilhelm. <br />D. All design work -products produced by the Contractor and its subcontractors and consultants <br />shall be made available to Wilhelm for review and comment before proceeding with <br />fabrication and erection. <br />E. The Contractor shall prepare and submit to Wilhelm shop drawings, samples, mockups and <br />mix designs which set forth in detail the design, fabrication and erection elements of this <br />Scope of Work. The shop drawings shall include information which details the material <br />components, material quality levels, material performance information, finishes, and <br />layout/locations of the materials in relationship to the various other components of the <br />Project.
