3, - Burkhart Sign Systems <br />Burkhart Sign Systems (BSS) has been located in South Bend for 55-years. Our <br />larger entity, Burkhart Advertising was started from the sign business. We <br />occupy 10,000 square feet of manufacturing employing 18 people. Our shop labor <br />is union labor (IBEW Local 153) with well over 100-years of combined experience. <br />Our capabilities constitute a full -service sign supplier. Our sources of revenue are <br />manufacture/install, 3rd party installations for national sign companies and sign <br />service. We are presently doing (2) national accounts, and have had these national <br />accounts for 10-years. National accounts require a team approach to execute <br />including remote code -checks, provide pricing for budgets, manufacturing, crating, <br />shipping and finally out -sourced installation. <br />We design within client budgets as well as municipal code. We manufacture with <br />large shears, (2) routers, certified welding, a large paint booth and electrical work. <br />Our strengths are in our routing, welding and painting - processes that are very difficult <br />to out -source. <br />Over the years we have executed many projects within the city as well as for the <br />city. We would welcome the opportunity to offer the above to SBVPA in their <br />ambitious plans for OUR park system. <br />Below are pictures (continuing on the next page) showing one of our many <br />signature projects in our community that are similar in scope to Howard Park. <br />ri <br />
