6. - Example Package
Again, Howard Park is not just a 'wayfinding" project but a creative exercise that
incorporates wayfinding. Our goal is to achieve an industrial look using charcoal
colors to match the building architecture with bright colors against the charcoal.
We are proposing to work with rectangular tubing or I-beam profiles as opposed
to traditional square tubing that offers a unique look representing "building",
"growth", "infrastructure" and "permanence". Furthermore, this look is central
to the architecture of the building.
This look can be carried inside adding brightly colored acrylics and frost acrylics
to the "industrial" materials. Wall mounted signs would be inset in the charcoal
C-channel again conveying "permanence". The central Donor wall would be similar
rectangle tubing and C-channel with frost (or colored) recognition panels.
As SBVPA continues the development of their 40(+) parks, this look can be carried over,
with perhaps simple color -changes, to show a continuity and "ownership" of these
resources. Our added signature to the project is the "park identifier" shown on
the sign posts, and submitted as a sample. Again, these would appear at every park,
and could be used in any number of ways.
Example Package -Page 13,
Mmm
