M f " E
Nancy Clay,
4/26/19
Thanks for the opportunity Thursday to trial our Solenis polymer on the South Bend dewatering application. We
did demonstrate a significantly reduced usage for the plant using our product, 85965.
The BFPs were started with the competitor's polymer and set points were recorded after running for two hours.
In the meantime, our product 859 BS was loaded into the polymer hopper and batches with our product were
made -down. Our product had to be dialed down to a lower dosage for the BFPs to maintain optimal drainage
and operation. Resulting cake solids were also dryer than the few days prior. See the set points below.
........... ............_..
House Polymer (Polydyne)._.._
_.........._,
- Dosage Setpoint
Press #
_ ....... ............
Lbs/T
......_.........-.-..._...7.......... ....
Sludge GPM
Polymer GPM
 .... _ ...2.8 _..........
_. ....................................... ..................
77
.........._.......................... ...... .....
2
7.4
73
2.5
3
7.4
76
wwwww77..._.._..
2.6
4
7.4
2.8
859 BS (Solenis)
Dosage Setpoint
Sludge
Polymer
Press #
Lbs/T
GPM
GPM
1
5.5
78
2.0
2
4.5
71
1.7
3
5.2
77
1.9
4
5.2
78
2.0
Dosages were based on a basis of pounds of polymer required per dry ton of sludge. The polymer concentration
was set to 0.3%, and the TSS of sludge influent was 2.8%. See below the calculation of overall polymer cost per
dry ton given the chemical price per pound.
Supplier
Price per Pound
Dosage
Cost per Ton
Polydyne
$1.82
7.4lbs/T
$13.47
Solenis
$2.21
5.11bs/T
$11.27
We ask that you recommend our product, the lowest overall cost dewatering polymer, be awarded in the dry
polymer bid. Let us know if you have any questions or if we can further demonstrate the Solenis product
performance.
Thanks,
Andrew Rossetti
Authorized Solenis Agent
(920)634-9201
KdM,E,SL C]jL ,fl ,:V Er V fl rr¢F n. .mime _ ,.;.., qrn -- P `Y20 .3 9-9783 F 932'G 3 y..9785
€ If Yy Incrtr: a'3::4 GiW1JY r,y.7 Irp„ V"u-y '401 ya3'rp rruu+r itiwrr rr r,,
