S E-2355-20 <br />2.2 Potential Health Effects <br />Inhalation: • Acute inhalation toxicity data are not available. However, airborne <br />concentrations of sodium permanganate in the form of mist may cause <br />irritation to the respiratory tract. <br />Contact with Eyes: • SE-2355-20 is damaging to eye tissue on contact. It may cause burns that <br />result in damage to the eye. <br />Contact with Skin: • Momentary contact of solution at room temperature may be irritating to <br />the skin, leaving brown stains. Seek prompt medical attention. <br />4.2 Skin Exposure • Wash contaminated area with soap and water. Seek medical attention if a <br />rash appears or irritation is severe. Note: clothing must be rinsed with <br />water immediately. Sodium Permanganate solution may react and ignite <br />certain fabrics and textiles. Thoroughly wash all contaminated clothing <br />4.3 Inhalation • Use caution and do not breathe mist or vapors. If exposed move to open <br />fresh air. If breathing is difficult or stopped, administer oxygen, <br />resuscitate, and call 911. <br />
