Version 6-8-2017 <br />3. Indicate with symbols and descriptions the locations of flashing beacon <br />assemblies to be installed. Static signs (those without flashing beacons) are not <br />included in the project scope. <br />4. Develop a typical installation detail representative of each type of assembly <br />to be installed, showing the sign type(s), height of sign, offset of sign from edge of <br />pavement, flashing beacon, and other components. <br />Environmental Document <br />1. Details of the environmental scope of services are attached. <br />2. This project is expected to qualify for Programmatic Categorical Exclusion <br />(PCE) plus bat worksheet and limited red flag investigations at each school. <br />Prepare contract documents <br />1. Prepare title sheet, index sheet, maintenance of traffic notes, and typical <br />installation details. <br />2. Prepare map sheets indicating sign locations and summary tables indicating <br />materials to be installed or removed. <br />3. Prepare quantities, cost estimates, provisions, and other documentation as <br />required for INDOT LPA submittal. <br />4. Include specifications for components to allow remote programming and <br />monitoring, if the LPA decides to include that equipment. Include a specification that <br />requires the contractor/vendor/manufacturer to provide adequate solar energy <br />collection and storage for each flasher location. Include a specification that all <br />flasher units are to be from the same manufacturer. <br />5. Utility coordination will be performed in accordance with INDOT <br />requirements. No utility relocations are expected for this project. Instead, the design <br />will be adjusted around existing utilities. <br />Submittals <br />1. Stage 3 to LPA for review <br />2. Stage 3 to INDOT <br />3. Final Tracings to INDOT with copy to LPA <br />4. Electronic CAD and other files distributed to LPA <br />Meetings <br />1. Scope of Work meeting with INDOT <br />2. One design meeting, to be held early in the design process <br />Construction Phase Services — Construction Engineering <br />Objective: the objective of this task is to facilitate a competitive bid process for the <br />project, clarify design intent during construction, and continue utility coordination <br />services during construction. <br />1. Review plans and bid documents as advertised by INDOT and notify INDOT <br />of inconsistencies from submitted documents which require correction. <br />20 <br />
