d. The ENGINEER shall monitor the approval process and provide any <br />additional information that may be required to secure permit(s). <br />A1.08 Testing <br />A. Asbestos testing of targeted areas of the Pinhook Pavilion shall be completed <br />concurrently with the above Preliminary Construction Document phase. Services <br />shall be as follows: <br />1. DLZ shall utilize an Indiana Department of Environmental Management <br />(IDEM) accredited Asbestos Building Inspector to perform an asbestos <br />inspection of the Pinhook Park Pavilion. The asbestos inspection will be <br />performed in accordance with the requirements set forth by the federal <br />National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) <br />asbestos regulations contained in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 40, <br />Part 61, Subpart M, (40 CFR 61, Subpart M). <br />2. The purpose of the asbestos inspection will be to document the location, <br />quantity, and the presence of asbestos containing materials required to be <br />removed prior to the renovation of the structure. The inspection will only <br />include areas to be modified as part of the approved scope of Pavilion <br />improvements. <br />A 1.09 Bidding or Negotiating Phase <br />A. After acceptance by Owner of the bidding documents and the most recent opinion <br />of probable Construction Cost as determined in the Final Design Phase, and upon <br />written authorization by Owner to proceed, Engineer shall: <br />1. Attend Pre -Bid meeting. <br />2. Issue addenda as appropriate to clarify, correct, or change the bidding <br />documents. <br />3. Provide information or assistance needed by Owner in the course of any <br />negotiations with prospective contractors. <br />4. Consult with Owner as to the acceptability of subcontractors, suppliers, and <br />other individuals and entities proposed by prospective contractors for those <br />portions of the Work as to which such acceptability is required by the <br />bidding documents. <br />5.
