for p rforming such duties in addition to that paid them by such <br />city Or town. <br />All expenses incurred by the Department of Redevelopment <br />neces�ary to be paid prior to the collection of taxes levied <br />under Ithe provisions of this act shall be met and paid in the <br />follo ing manner: The Commissioners shall from time to time <br />certify such items of expense to the officer or officers of the <br />city cr town charged by law for the performance of duties in <br />respect to the funds and accounts of the city or town, directing <br />him t pay the several amounts thereon and thereupon such officer <br />or of icers shall draw their warrant or warrants upon the city <br />or tox4n treasurer, which warrant or warrants shall be paid out <br />of tho general funds of such city or town not theretofore <br />appropriated, without special appropriation being made therefor <br />by tho common council or approved by any other body. In case <br />therelare no unappropriated general funds of the city or town, <br />the officer or officers of the city or town charged by law for <br />the performance of duties in respect to the funds and accounts <br />of tho city or town shall recommend to the common council the <br />tempo�ary transfer from other funds of the city or town a suffi- <br />cientlamount to meet such items of expense or the making of a <br />tempoOry loan for such purpose, and the common council shall <br />immediately make such transfer of funds or authorize such tempo - <br />rary ]oan in the same manner that other transfers and temporary <br />loanslare made by the city or town. The amount so to be advanced <br />by tho city or town shall not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars and <br />the find or funds of the city or town from which such advance- <br />ment is made shall be fully reimbursed and repaid by the Re- <br />development Commissioners out of the first proceeds of the special <br />
