He stated that from May to June of 2012 there <br />were forty-five (45) fires versus only two (2) the previous year. Chief Cox stated the Mayor's office <br />declared a burn ban which is still in effect. Upon a motion by Mr. Collins, seconded by Mr. Miller and carried, the Findings of Fact <br />were approved and entered as outlined above. <br />FILING OF MONTHLY STATISTICAL ANALYSIS REPORT — JUNE, 2012 <br />Police Chief Charles Hurley stated all crime decreased in June, except, unfortunately, for homicide <br />and non - resident burglaries. Mr. Cottrell stated it was removed from the agenda earlier at the Agenda Review Session <br />because of scheduling conflicts, and announced at the beginning of this meeting. Ms. Kelli <br />Stopczynski, WSBT Television, asked why the setting of the Hearing was delayed. Mr. Cottrell re- <br />stated it was delayed due to scheduling problems. Ms. Stopczynski asked if Mr. Bortone was <br />contesting the Charges. Mr. Cottrell stated all the Board knows is that he is has hired a lawyer and is <br />contesting the Charges. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, President Cottrell declared the meeting <br />adjourned at 9:50 a.m. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br />
