South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting —July 26, 2012 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />B. Airport Economic Development Area <br />(2) Staff report on Data Realty fagade <br />expenses. <br />Mr. Kain noted that on July 26, 2011, the <br />Commission approved the sale of Lot 4 at <br />Ignition Park to Data Realty Northern <br />Indiana, LLC, which is in its final <br />construction stages with an anticipated <br />opening in October 2012. At the same <br />meeting, the Commission also approved the <br />use of the AEDA TIF in the amount of <br />$1,400,000 for the Data Realty building <br />fagade enhancement as well as $77,500 for <br />BSA LifeStructures to prepare fagade <br />concepts and construction documents. <br />The breakdown of the fagade costs and how <br />the Commission is fulfilling its commitment <br />to Data Realty are as follows: <br />Facade Work (Split into two components) <br />Metal panel & screenwall supports, foundation <br />and other materials (Data Realty is purchasing) <br />Metal panels & screenwall <br />Total Facade Work: <br />Commission Participation <br />Purchase metal panels & screenwall <br />Purchase CRAH (Computer Room Air Handling) Equipment <br />Additional purchases yet;to be identified <br />Total Participation: <br />* Staff is in the process of determining options to cover this amount <br />The lowest, responsive bid for the metal <br />panels and screenwall received by the Board <br />of Public Works on 7/24/12 increases the <br />overall fagade costs by $81,315. <br />12 <br />Actual Bids <br />$ 566,560 <br />$ 914,755 <br />$1,481,315 <br />$ 914,755 <br />$ 347,002 <br />$ 219,558* <br />$1,481,315 <br />
