<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD - OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
<br />BEND ST. JOSEPH COUNTY STATE OF INDIANA, that it •is desired and deemed necessary to
<br />improve Monroe Street from Lincoln Way East to theeast end of Monroe Street; Edgewater
<br />Drive from the south line of Monroe Street to the .north lisle of Arch Avenue; Arch
<br />Avenue from Lincoln Way East to the east end of Arch Avenue and River Avenue from the
<br />south line of Monroe Street to the north line of Arch Avenue as follows, to -wit: -
<br />Said streets and avenues shall be graded and the roadway thereof
<br />shall be paved; and also the roadways of certain portions of the stre is and alley
<br />which enter or intersect said `etreets and avenue shall be graded tend paved. The paving -
<br />material to be used in making said - improvement shall be Portland- cement concrete,
<br />.sheet asphalt, asphaltic concrete, bitulithic, or brick fifi and the foundation shall be
<br />Port -land cement -concrete- five (5) inches thick for the si�eet asphalt; bitWlithic
<br />as ;ohalt is concrete and Brick, or rolled gravel six (6) inches thick for the Brick; also
<br />cement curb and cement sidewalk skiall be c onstrueted along said streets and av-innes
<br />storm water inlets and 'conduits shall be _.constructed where necessary; all storm wa,tr r
<br />islets and manhole tops shall beset to the proper grade; cement marginal curb shall be
<br />constructed at all streets and alleys where necessary, all as is more particularly shown

<br />Be It further resolved by the Board that they will accept waiver
<br />of Whitcomb and Keller only' property owners on above streets and that bids for the
<br />Paving of the above streets will be . rece ived Tuesday April 22nd.,1919 at 10: 00 A.M.
